Think pink: shop to support breast cancer research

As women, most of us are attuned to women's health issues. From cardiac disease to reproductive cancers to breast cancer, when new research reveals lifestyle changes or medical treatments that can cut our risks, we heed the advice. I, personally, am no different, yet I honestly didn't take a very active role in helping find cures and fight diseases like breast cancer until my own daughter was born. At that point, I realized that I needed to find active ways to make a difference so that future generations might be spared from these terrible diseases. One of the great things about Breast Cancer Awareness Month--October--is the ease of finding ways to make a difference. Whether it's a Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure fundraiser or just buying a really great product from which proceeds benefit one of the many breast cancer foundations, everyone can make a donation to the cause. Although you'll find hundreds of charitable products for sale this month, the products featured below are gorgeous, thoroughly practical (and gorgeous) and very beneficial in the fight against breast cancer.
