In top form: innovative shapewear clothing from Lysse

I will freely admit that I am a tough customer when it comes to leggings. Despite trying dozens of brands, I’ve never found a style that I love. They’re always too low rise, too short, too sheer or just uncomfortable. Recently the shapewear clothing company Lyssé Leggings contacted me and generously sent me pair of their Ponte Knit Pleather Equestrian leggings to try. Based on aesthetics alone, I was beside myself with excitement. Faux leather panels and equestrian styling? Perfect for fall 2012! From a fit standpoint, I was cautiously optimistic. Promising comfortable shaping, a no-roll waistband and great looking legs…it was everything I wanted in a pair of leggings.

Once my sample leggings arrived, I thoroughly put them to the test, chasing my daughter and working around the house (looking glamorous, I might add). I am happy to say that I have finally found leggings that not only fit and feel fabulous, they also help trim and disguise my least favorite parts of my post-baby body. Nearly reaching my navel, the waistband completely (and comfortably) smoothed my tummy and hips…no muffin top. True to their word, the waistband did not roll a single time no matter how I bent or twisted, and believe me, I tried. And, just as I expected, the Equestrian styling was amazingly on-trend. It’s safe to say that I’ll be breaking out my tunics and oversize sweaters this fall and winter now that I actually have a pair of leggings I love. I also found their size chart to be spot-on.
